In Tools of the Trade an old wooden newel post and an old guillotine have been inset with objects and materials significant to me and relevant to other projects completed with my collaborative partner Patricia Bray, namely slate, glass, shells and gold leaf.

The suspended item is a pipe cleaner called a Hedgehog. It hangs over a lead flower arranger.

Remembering The Grace I Never Knew

Grace was the elderly neighbour of a friend. I never met Grace but heard a lot about her, particularly when she was ill in hospital. When she died her family threw many of her possessions onto the beach and burnt them. I salvaged some pieces to incorporate into this reliquary.
